Changes to Newsletter Schedule

If you've been subscribed to my newsletter, you've probably noticed an absence of new content lately. The truth is, I've been ungodly busy, and I don't have time to release on a weekly schedule. As a result, I'm slowing down. Newsletters will still come out, but I'm going to go ahead and restrict those releases to when I actually have something coming down the pipe. 

Black Rain Chronicles News

On that note, I have a new book coming out in January! I'm currently doing edits on it. Broken Bonds is the sequel to Spirit of Shadow and the second installment in the Black Rain Chronicles; but do be warned, you won't be following the characters you've fallen in love with in the first installment. All is, nonetheless, according to plan, and we will be getting back to them. Don't you worry about that. 

This first trio of books sets the stage for the central conflict of the series. The first book followed Lance Whiteheart on a journey of self-discovery as he grappled against the entrenched hierarchy who enslaved him; all the while pursuing escape not just for himself, but for all of the other people they harmed. 

Broken Bonds follows Lance's sister, Andrea, as she finds herself snared in a game their psychopathic uncle is playing against the courts, with rule over the city of Aranor (and what's hidden beneath it) the prize. 

I expect book three (working title: 'Forge of Fate') to be ready for release around January 2027. It will follow Alex, the last of the Whiteheart siblings, through his own journey, in a place well removed from his siblings, where his unique status makes him the target of several factions all vying for possession over him. 

New Newsletter Offerings

And that brings me to an announcement. 

I'm in the process of changing over the newsletter sign up forms on this website and over at Book Funnel, where I handle these promotions. Once the setup is finished, new signups will no longer deliver free copies of Gilded Son, which has, to date, been a newsletter exclusive. Instead, new signups will get you a free copy of Spirit of Shadow! This promo will last until release day for Broken Bonds in ebook an paperback formats. Again ETA for the completed work is late January. 

Domain Host Change

You may also have noticed an overhaul of the website design. I switched domain hosts from Wix to Ionos, and I'm overall very happy with the results. I'm locked in for at least the next two years here, so don't expect major changes to the layout any time soon. But do expect an extremely sarcastic Santa Shitpost to pop up here around Christmas time. I do one every year...because reasons.
